| The closure of the NTV television company correspondents'
office in Belarus represents not only an action targeted at information
isolation of the people of Belarus, but also another challenge to Russia
from Lukashenko's regime.
The President of Belarus has once again demonstrated that he does not
need a real integration of the two brother nations which threatens his
sole power.
The Russian Democratic Party YABLOKO demands that the Ministry of Foreign
Affairs issue a rapid and adequate reaction to the overtly hostile action
by the leadership of Belarus.
The developments in Belarus and Turkmenistan prove that the policies
of anti-democratic regimes violating human rights and liberties inevitably
become anti-Russian.
