Today the leader of the YABLOKO party Grigory
Yavlinsky issued sharply negative comments about the actions of the
Prosecutor General's Office against the top management of YUKOS.
"We assess the attack against YUKOS and application of repressions
as useless and harmful measures from the point of view of the condition
of Russian business," said Yavlinsky. He also added that "ordered
measures" involving the law and enforcement agencies represented
an attempt to curb the attempts of big business to become open and transparent,
reports
gazeta.ru correspondent.
Yavlinsky also informed our correspondent that YABLOKO had forwarded
an inquiry to the Prosecutor General about the lawfulness of its actions
against YUKOS.
