| Moscow, August 5, 2003. "I consider the campaign
YABLOKO Without Yavlinsky to be an unprofessional piece of black PR action."
Such a statement was made today by Deputy Head of the YABLOKO party Sergei
Mitrokhin during aninteractive press conference with Rosbalt. Mitrokhin
also noted that the movement YABLOKO Without Yavlinsky did not have a single
member of the YABLOKO party, which means that the party does not have people
who would agree to participate in such provocations for money. According
to Mitrokhin, the action represents hack-work, as it is easy to detect
the people behind the campaign. He also stressed that the statements of
the representatives of this movement "coincide with ideological publications
against YABLOKO in the regional press."
Characterising those who
ordered and implemented this action, Mitrokhin said that "the architect
was unprofessional." In addition Mitrokhin is certain that "such
provocations on the opposite stress the strengths of the party and give
it a chance to be heard and remind the people that YABLOKO has consistently
opposed actions by the monopolies."
