The YABLOKO and Union of Right-Wing Forces (SPS)
parties accepted the proposal from the communists to unite. The
goal of the coming union is not to participate as a bloc in the
forthcoming parliamentary election, but rather to monitor the voting
process. According to Gennady Zyuganov, the leadership of the CPRF
proposed that all the politicians join this movement to ensure fair
and honest elections. Grigory
Yavlinsky and Boris Nemtsov have already accepted this proposal.
The leader of the People's Party Gennady Raikov also expressed interest
in this proposal.
