St. Petersburg. The St. Petersburg Youth Organisation of Yabloko
joined the action “St. Petersburg Against Racist Graffiti organised
by the St. Petersburg newspapers “Na Dniye” and “St. Petersburg
Chas Pik”. The young members of the St. Petersburg branch of Yabloko
are seeking to create a situation where no fascist graffiti can
be found in St. Petersburg, that is reminiscent of the “brown
pox” threat.
“If in the street, in the lobby of your house or in another
public place you see graffiti that incites ethnic conflicts, please
inform us of their content and precise location (street, house
number, definite place of location of the graffiti),”states the
address of the Central Council of the Youth Organisation of Yabloko
to the residents of St. Petersburg.
Such graffiti is photographed. Lawyers submit their applications
to the Office of the St. Petersburg Public Prosecutor and district
territorial departments, which have to instruct the housing and
communal services agencies to eliminate such graffiti. The action
launched about a month ago, will end with the elimination of the
last remaining graffiti in St. Petersburg.
