The leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky thinks that Russia should
“directly participate in the development of the plan [of anti-terrorist
operation against the perpetrators of the acts of terrorism in
the USA] in accordance with its own interests, rather than assess
as a bystander whether this plan is suitable or not.” Such opinion
was expressed by Yavlinsky today in an interview with journalists.
The leader of Yabloko thinks that Russia should “by all means
participate very toughly and actively in the anti-terrorist operation”
and provide assistance, together with the USA and other European
countries, to all the countries struggling with terrorism. He
also thinks that “terrorists, rather than citizens of the country
must be the target of such an attack”. According to Yavlinsky,
the USA is starting to realise “as it delves into the problem”
that such an operation should have a definite target.
