Yavlinsky participates in the international forum "Building Democracy in a Changing World"

On March 11-12 2002 Grigory Yavlinsky is participating in the international symposium dedicated to the problems of building democracy in a changing world, which is taking place in Guterslau, Germany.

The participants of the symposium are heads of states, top officials of international organisations and politicians. The symposium is organised by the largest media-concern in Western Europe (and the third largest in the world) - the Bertelsmann Foundation, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.

On March 11 Yavlinsky opened the symposium: on March 12 he will deliver a report on the strategy of changes in the international community at present.

On March 13 Yavlinsky will visit Berlin where he will have a number of meetings with representatives of Germany's political and business circles.

In January-February 2002, Yavlinsky conducted similar political consultations in the USA and UK, where he discussed the relations between Russia and the West which have evolved since September 11, 2001, as well as economic prospects(direct foreign investments into Russia) and trade (Russia's joining the WTO) cooperation.
