Yabloko has not conducted and is not holding any talks with Boris Berezovsky. Such a statement was made on Wednesday by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Democratic Party YABLOKO, deputy of the State Duma Sergei Mitrokhin in an interview with journalists.

According to Mitrokhin: "Berezovsky long ago compromised himself both politically and personally," therefore the YABLOKO party has not even considered the possibility of any contacts with him.

 "Berezovsky is one of the people who is completely responsible for the present situation in Russia's politics and Russia in general," added Mitrokhin.

 He also refuted the rumour that a group of members of the "Liberal Russia" movement planned to join the YABLOKO faction. "Negotiations between YABLOKO and "Liberal Russia" are impossible, when Berezovsky remains in the leadership of this movement," stressed Mitrokhin.
