The Yabloko faction is ready to support the draft law "On Parties" submitted by its colleague Alexander Shishlov at a meeting of the State Duma on February 7, but is also ready to support the draft submitted to the Duma by President Vladimir Putin.

At a meeting with the Head of the Central Electoral Commission, Alexander Veshnyakov, who will present the presidential draft "On Political Parties" on February 7 at the meeting of the Duma, deputies from the Yabloko faction listened to his arguments.

The members of the faction tied their support of the presidential variant of the law to a requirement to adopt at the second reading amendments and additions to the draft proposed by Yabloko.

Veshnyakov assured the deputies that during the work on the draft law "it will evolve towards greater democracy".
