The Secretary of the Yabloko Association for Election Campaigns and Interaction with the Heads of Russia’s Regions, Igor Artemyev, said that Yabloko is satisfied with the results of regional elections that took place on December 10, 2000.

Artemyev also said that with Yabloko’s support the present head of the Administration of Vladimir Region Nikolai Vinogradov won the gubernatorial elections in the region. He gained over 65% of votes, ahead of his main competitor by almost 50%. Artemyev also stressed that the Yabloko party would help the newly elected governor implement the economic development programme for Vladimir Region developed by the local Yabloko organisation.

According to preliminary data from the Yabloko party commission, the following people became deputies of the representative executive authorities:

- Vladimir Golyshev (Yabloko) - Bryansk Regional Duma;

- Valentina Yamschikova (Yabloko) - Kostroma Regional Duma;

- Dmitriyev, Rogozina, Kislovskiy (Yabloko) – Council of Deputies of the Shatura District (Moscow region), which allows for the formation of a Yabloko faction in the Council;

- Konstantin Linnik and Ludmilla Shutka (Yabloko) – Khabarovsk City Duma.
