Born August 23, 1943, in Moscow in a family of Moscow Lomonosov
University professors. Father died at war in 1945.
Higher education, diplomas from two universities.
In 1966 graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Engineering
(MIFI), specializing in "electronic calculation machines".
In 1996 graduated from the State University of Law
Married, has a grown-up daughter and two grand-children.
Over 20 years of academic research in the Institute of Applied Mathematics
of the Academy of Sciences.
Since 1990 - deputy of the Frunzenskii District of Moscow.
Since 1993 - deputy of the Moscow City Duma.
Since 1994 - has been heading the Public Council on Housing Policy under
the Moscow City Duma.
Since 1998 - Chairman of the Commission on Housing Policies and Utilities
Sector Reform.
Since 1989 has been participating in the democratic movement ("Democratic
Russia"). Participated in the creation of the association of the voters
of Frunzenskii District of Moscow "The Democratic Choice."
Since 1997 - member of the YABLOKO party. Deputy Head of the North Origination
of the Moscow regional branch of the YABLOKO party. Bearer of the medal
"Defender of Free Russia."
