Commentary: The Russian army should be cut by one third. This statement was made today by Grigory Yavlinsky in Rostov-Don. In addition, according to YABLOKO's leader, the armed forces should not participate in domestic conflicts in Russia. The party is going to submit these proposals for review by the State Duma shortly. According to Yavlinsky, the reform of the armed forces in Russia should lead to the formation of two global structures - a rapid reaction force and nuclear deterrent force.
