Leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky to visit Vilnius

On Tuesday one of the famous Russian politicians, deputy of the State Duma of the RF and leader of the liberal-centrist party Yabloko will come to Vilnius on a one-day visit.

On Tuesday morning he will participate in the conference: “European integration: Influence on the Security and Economy of Central and Eastern Europe”. In his report Grigory Yavlinsky will cover the problems of the influence of European integration on Russia’s economy.

A meeting of Yavlinsky with the President of Lithuania Valdas Adamaskas is scheduled for 1.30pm.. šDuring the years of perestroika Yavlinsky gained renown as author of a plan to ensure Russia’s transition to a market economy. In 1993 he was elected to the State Duma of the RF for the first time.
