Moscow Mayor prohibits rallies at Chistiye Prudi

Such a decision by the Moscow authority was announced to the organiser of the rally that have to take place this Saturday and introduce the so-called Churov List (Ed. The list includes the names of people engaged in the parliamentary elections fraud). It was planned to conduct the rally by Griboyedov Monument at Chistiye Prudi.

Earlier the bureaucrats had refused to allow a rally at this place under a pretext of paving the square.

However, YABLOKOs representative visited the site and made photos confirming that there were no signs of repairs or paving. This report was sent to the office of Mayor of Moscow Sergei Sobyanin. After this a true motive of a refusal to give the site under a rally was given: a ban by the Moscow Mayor to conduct any rallies at Chistiye Prudi.

O am calling all the defenders of Article 31 of the Russian Constitution [envisaging freedom of assembly] to come at Chistiye Prudi on January 14, said YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin. This will be real support to the fight for the freedom of assembly, he added.

The rally will begin by Griboyedov Monument at 1 p.m. on January 14. YABLOKO will present photographs, names and posts of electoral commissions heads engaged in fraud. YABLOKO calls all the citizens to come to the rally and give their facts of election fraud with names of the falsifiers.
