| YABLOKO’s leader Sergei Mitrokhin forwarded to leaders
of five parties a proposal to begin negotiations on joining
the efforts in observation at the forthcoming parliamentary
election. The letters were sent to all the registered parties
except the ruling United Russia (which had become notoriously
famous of election fraud).
Mitrokhin proposed to agree on the basic concept of such
cooperation and then develop a detailed agreement. He also
attached a possible draft concept developed by YABLOKO in
his letter.
“The pressure from the authorities and the scope of fraud
have been growing with every election, therefore the parties
have more stimuli for such an agreement. Today we have a real
possibility to join efforts of all the parties but for United
Russia for organizing observation of the election,” Mitrokhin
noted.
