YABLOKO’s activists cleaned the territory by the Baraus Lake
near Chelyabinsk
On September 19 YABLOKO’s activists cleaned the territory
by the Baraus Lake situated in the Ilmen national park in
the Chelyabinsk region.
Two large KAMAZ trucks took the dump from the lake. A large
territory along the coast was cleaned from the dump. It should
be also noted that the action of clearing the lake area joined
together YABLOKO’s activists and YABLOKO’s advocates, as well
as environmental activists – 30 people in total.
“It was not a political action but demonstration of a normal
attitude to environment resounating not only with YABLOKO’s
greens. People, be careful with nature, do not leave dump
on the banks of the Urals lakes, leave these lakes clean for
the next generations!” such an appeal to the residents of
the region was made by Andrei Talevlin, Chair of the Chelyabinsk
branch of YABLOKO.
