Public organisations concerned about lack of anti-corruption measures of the Investigation Committee

The Council of Public Organisations of the Klin District, Moscow region, where YABLOKO participates conducted picketing by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Klin under the slogan “Three years of work of the Investigation Committee – and where are the results in fight against corruption?”

Members of the public organisations expressed their disappointment with the performance of the head of the Investigation Committee in Klin Roman Dyachkovsky.

Public activists began their own investigation of the performance of the Investigation Committee (analyzing information on audits from superior bodies, complaints, refusals in filing criminal cases, etc.). The results of this check will allow to demand dismissal of the head of the Investigation Committee.

Investigation Department under the Public Prosecutor of the Moscow region has been functioning for three years already. All this time the department has been headed by Roman Dyachkovsky.

According to the data from the Audit Chamber, the share of violations in the district in 2009 amounted to RUR 565 mln or about 17 per cent of the expenditure part of the budget for 2009 (RUR 3 bln). The total of violations exceeded RUR 1 bln.

The participants of the picket demanded from Roman Dyachkovsky to release to mass media and deputies of the City Duma information on the Investigation Committee performance.
