On May 12, the Youth YABLOKO organisation conducted a flash
mob by the Ostankino TV centre under the slogan “We Do not
Need Such Television!”
Four young activists brought a TV set to the entrance of
Ostankino centre and placards “For the Freedom of Speech!”,
“For Independent Media!”. Then young people broke the TV set
shouting “Putin, change the format!” and “We are tired of
TV brainwashing!”

That was how young activists drew public attention to the
completely liquidated freedom of speech at the federal television
channels. Live broadcasts and political discussion with participation
of independent experts completely disappeared, today television
functions in the interest of one party only, state the activists.
The Youth YABLOKO called for equal access of all the political
parties and movements to television.
This time police did not interfere with YABLOKO’s action.
The security of the Ostankino centre came up to the activists
only after they completed the action.
