The YABLOKO party expresses its resolute protest against
pressure on behalf of the Public Prosecutor Office on the
Territorial Electoral Commission of Krasnokamensk municipal
district of the Perm Area so that to prevent Olga Kolokolova,
candidate from the YABLOKO party and the leader of the Perm
branch of YABLOKO to participate in the election of the
head of the region
The YABLOKO party considers the increased attention from
the Public Prosecutor's Office to the opposition candidate
as a political order of the governmental party trying to
prevent one of the key candidates to be elected the district
head.
Multiple violations made during [Public Prosecutor's] audit
indicated of a political context of such actions. In addition
to violation of procedural time limits for Public Prosecutor's
reaction, the Public Prosecutor also acted beyond his competence
which gives us grounds to consider his actions unlawful
and targeted exclusively at rendering pressure on the Territorial
Electoral Commission and the candidate.
The YABLOKO party is going to conduct legal expertise of
Public Prosecutor's order so that to acknowledge it unlawful,
achieve its abrogation and render any other legal or practical
assistance to Olga Kolokolova in her election campaign.
