Service of the YABLOKO party was surprised to see an article
entitled Why Yavlinsky Was Summoned to the Kremlin by Elina
Bilevskaya in Nezavisimaya Gazeta of August 3. The article
states that Yavlinsky made agreement with the Kremlin so that
to secure deputies’ mandates for the party in the Moscow City
Duma election.
Most of the “facts” given in the article are not true. The
meeting evolved only around YABLOKO’s anti-crisis proposals.
We are sorry that a respectable paper has voluntary or involuntary
switched into a “black PR” campaign on the threashold of the
Moscow City Duma election.
