On June 7-8 Chairman of the Russian Democratic Party YABLOKO Grigory Yavlinsky will participate in the annual working conference of the "USA-Italy” Council, which was created in 1991 to promote the relations between the USA and Europe.

Yavlinsky will be the main speaker at the session devoted to Russia and new geo-political prospects for Europe in connection with the results of summit meetings between Russia and NATO, Russia and the European Union and Russia and the USA.

It will focus on the following issues:

• creation of a new continent (in accordance with the results of the expansion of the European Union and NATO),
• reform and modernisation of common European structures,
• "the europeanisation” of Russia or the Russia-Washington geopolitical pact.

Politicians and businessmen will participate in the work of the conference. No press will be allowed into the conference.
