Grigory Yavlinsky speaks in the USA in connection with the publication of his book on the transformation of the Russian economy

On April 23 Grigory Yavlinsky, who is now in the USA at the invitation of Stanford University, made a report on the modern problems of the Russian and world economy. The winner of the Nobel prize in economics Prof. Milton Friedman, Chicago University, attended.

On the same day Yavlinsky had a meeting with Prof Friedman and another Nobel prize winner in economics George Schultz. On April 23-24 Grigory Yavlinsky will conduct seminars on economic policy at Stanford University. Yavlinsky was invited by the university in connection with considerable interest in his recent book on the transformation of Russia’s planned economy into a market economy.

The book "Incentives and Institutions" was published by Princeton University in English, and a Russian edition will appear soon. According toAmerican economists, this is the first academic research into the theory and practice of the modern Russian economy.
