Yabloko and the Union of Right-Wing Forces (SPS) will jointly participate in the elections to the Moscow City Duma in December 2001. Such a decision was adopted at a joint meeting of the Political Bureau of the Moscow branch of the Yabloko Party and the Coordination Council of the Moscow branch of the Union of the Right-Wing Forces on December 25, 2000.

In addition it was decided to conduct regular joint meetings of the political councils of the two parties and to create a joint coordination council of Yabloko and the SPS on a parity basis, four representatives from each party, to prepare for the elections to the Moscow City Duma. The representatives of Yabloko and the SPS supported the proposal of Grigory Yavlinsky to hold a broad conference of the democratic forces.

Nine members of the Political Council of the Moscow branch of the Yabloko Party and twelve members of the Coordination Council of the Moscow branch of the Union of Right-Wing Forces participated in this meeting, which lasted over three hours.
