Yabloko supports the idea of parliamentary hearings on corruption in the RF and US financial structures

Yabloko supports the idea of parliamentary hearings in the State Duma on corruption in the RF and US financial structures, related to the money laundering through the Bank of New York.

Similar hearings were held in the US Congress in autumn 1999. Yabloko will insist on a special investigation of American deposit warrants at the hearings.

The leader of Yabloko Grigory Yavlinsky also thinks that the investigation on corruption in the RF and US financial structures related to the scandal around the Bank of New York may become one of the first cases to be handled by the Commission for Corruption Issues formed in the State Duma.

Earlier the Committee for Credit Institutions and Financial Resources also proposed holding parliamentary hearings, involving representatives from the Bank of New York.
