During 1990-1993 elected deputy of St.Petersburg City Council, Chairman of the Commission for Construction and Land Issues.

During 1994-1998 elected deputy of St.Petersburg Legislative Assembly.

Since 1998 - deputy of St.Petersburg Legislative Assembly of the second convocation, Coordinator of the YABLOKO faction.
Since 1994 - member of the Political Council of the Regional party of the Centre -"YABLOKO".
During 1996-1999 - Chairman of the Political Council of the Regional party of the Centre -"YABLOKO".
Since March 2002 to April 2003 Chairman of St.Petersburg brunch of the RPC "YABLOKO".

Member of the Central Council of the YABLOKO party.

Married, has a daughter.
