I request that you herewith change the preventive punishment for the Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the RF of the second convocation Viktor V. Gitin from a written undertaking not to leave the place, to a personal guarantee, as he requires urgent examination and treatment in the Russian Cardiological Complex in Moscow.

I have been informed of the essence of the case brought by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Krasnoyarsk against Viktor Gitin and of any liability, should he undertake any actions under the guarantee against the preventive punishment.

I believe that the refusal of the investigators to let Viktor Gitin leave Krasnodar for Moscow for further medical examination and treatment is ungrounded, in view of his condition and other circumstances.

I can vouchsafe for Viktor Gitin's appropriate behaviour and his appearance on the summons of the investigator, public prosecutor and the court.
